That cat has been out of the bag for almost ten years, since my gf at the time came with me to Thanksgiving dinner with my immediate family. It is completely understandable that transgender women don't want to be treated like a hidden dirty fetish and it is understandable that people are afraid to be open about it as well and lose relationships of the people around them that they care about and be ostracized. In doing so, they open themselves to a piece of the discrimination that transgender people receive daily. However, Transgender people deserve the respect, support, and basic decency that are often taken for granted by the rest of the populous. Even if you aren't overtly supporting the trans community via organizations or means of publicity, it is worth it to be honest about your positive feelings towards them because being that beacon of support in a close minded group can change minds and otherwise the trans community is mostly going it alone and going it alone sucks.

Ohh and great point while it's on my mind. Just because you came to some transsexual porn does make you an admirer. There are very few guys out there that will say "I like trans women" in public, but it is so needed. Yes go be a guy that does.

There are two parts of acceptance in society. The first is a general acceptance as in "transgender persons are normal and deserve to be treated normally." That is truly equal opportunity at jobs, neighbors, and friends. It does not require attraction, many will not ever be attracted to and that is fine.

The 2nd part is "I am attracted to trans women and would be honored to have her as my date at the office party."
