    Default Photography vs Fine-art Photograpy

I have been looking at "photos" of escorts for some time now and the amount of retouche in some of them is astonishing. Hence a few questions:

    1. Do men generally fall for that in terms of picking girls they visit?

    2. How much a turn-off is it to find that the girl looks different than in the photos? - In situations you decide to stay after all.

    3. How does it work in long-term: would you go back?

    Hiya RedVex.

I think those of us who are not "first timers" and are used to reading the adverts can tell when a lot of work has been done. If it is hugely heavily photoshopped I will certainly think twice. Quite possibly choose someone else.

It can be a big turn-off. As you know sometimes the girls use other people's pictures and that is a total turn-off. If I find out beforehand, I'll not go. If when i arrive at a date it is a different person I'll usually leave. If she looks less good than what are clearly nicely lot and posed shots with a little bit of photoshopping i will see how she is otherwise. here are a few girls who look a lot better in person than even the most flattering images.

Long term? Well the pictures at that point become irrelevant. If she is a lovely person or a great date then sure... I'd go back. You'e already peered behind mighty Oz's curtain by that point and if the person on the other side is still attractive/nice etc then why not go back.

PS... only our main profile picture on Birchplace appears to have been posed and lit with artistic effort. The rest seem utterly natural and you are all the more attractive for it.

Kinda helps when I know the actual photographer...

Also, I usually see the girl in person FIRST.

Thanx. Indeed the pic was posed and lit. We used a black screen and 4 lamps and my room was turned up-side down and inside-out when we were taking the photos. My avatar was also taken on the day. A few more of the photos can be found in my "...thanx Brian" album here. Big difference compared to the rubbish I produced myself with my phone and put in the other album... I definetely prefer the "erotic" rather than "porn" style;p

Fortunately, i have never been unfortunate enough to turn up and find it is not the girl in the picture. of course, there are times when the picture has been a little over generous but also times when it has not really captured someone's best features. But it has never been to the point where i felt i should walk away. I think my natural suspicion of unusually attractive photos means that after initial enjoyment i skip those that are actively photoshopped - after all if it sounds or looks too good to be true then it probably is!!!!!!!! To answer the questions in your original post Redvex, i would say it is not necessarily a turn off if the girl looks different as long as she looks attractive upon meeting and that i would go back if i had an enjoyable time, irrespective of the photos. But that's just me, i am sure there are a myriad different views.
