Dropped off alot? Have you seen Rogue 37? His scene with Genesis is amazing imo, easily the standout of the dvd. You have to consider Joey's work as a whole, and when you do it's beyond outstanding. The man himself is legendary for simply carrying on so long. When you say something like "I am no longer a fan of Joey Silvera because his work is no longer outstanding," you not only must have ADHD, but you're kind of a jackass for expecting stars and rainbows out of a mere mortal.

First time poster here. Ive worked in the (not TS) porn industry for 15+ years and I'm not surprised the industry is in crisis - but i think in a way, its a good thing.

Firstly there is far too much porn produced. Each month hundreds of new dvds are released - this is true of hollywood too. But with porn there is far too much supply and not enough demand.

Secondly most of what is produced is junk - this can also be said with hollywood although to a far lesser degree (mainly because hollywood employs professionals - and im talking about people behind the camera here).

This crisis is just what the whole porn industry needs - to flush out the crap til only the best is left.

Ive met a lot of people over the years and can honestly say, there are a lot are idiots in the industry. It attracts people like this (more than any other industry) because they think it will be an easy living, at least easier than getting a 'real' job. Outside of porn they would probably be used car salesmen.

A second reason people are attracted to the industry is they think they will get to fuck lots of beautiful girls (or in our case, TS's) - the rest is secondary.

You put the combination of all that together and the result isn't going to be anything but bad.

But also look at the price of adult dvds.
I can buy top hollywood movies on dvd in the UK for around $5, yet people want $35 for an average hardcore dvd - why? They certainly are not worth that.
A hollywood movie could have a budget of $50 million with top actors, a porn movie could have a $15 thousand budget with no acting talent at all.

Companies like brazzers got it right, shoot scenes not movies. Sell scenes, sell performers - not movie titles or directors.
There generally arent even directors in porn (people like andrew blake aside) they are just cameramen with egos

As for performers, I think they get better. Better looking, even better acting skills. Its not them that are the problem, its the people behind the cameras, but hopefully this crisis will reate a bit of natural selection.
