Happy New Year and Grooby Mission Statement for 2012

A belated Happy New Year.
I've been meaning to write my annual members thank you letter and our mission statement for 2012 for well over a week but I've been so busy with preperation for the Tranny Awards in February that the first time I found was on a flight without any internet connection (sometimes a blessing!).

I'm on my way to Los Angeles to present an award at the Xbiz Awards as well as attend their show and work on the location at El Cid for the award night on Feb 19th. This is the 4th Tranny Awards and it's developed into what I'd hoped for, which is a night to celebrate transgender erotica and give something back to the models and fans. With major sponsors this year including Kink, Shemale Strokers, Cam4, Joanna Jet, Third World Shemales, Trannybox (Gammae), U-P Network, Mia Isabella, Sammi Valenine and a few more to be announced, it's our biggest event to date and shows we're managing to stretch out to the more mainstream. We also have a great host being announced this week.

2011 was meant to be another bad year, following one of the worst years for online porn. In 2010, we saw a lot of program closures and contraction of the industry and while this has continued somewhat into 2011, it's not been to anywhere near the same extent or what we expected. Grooby Productions entered 2011 somewhat cautiously but also decided that we did need to build and improve on the sites, rolling out our improved database which integrates more social interaction on the sites - (it's still getting rolled out, check it on BlackTgirls this week!) and look at creating some new websites based on our research for what our members were looking for.

Black Shemale Hardcore - http://www.black-shemale-hardcore.com - is a companion site to BlackTgirls and focusses on the wants for more black hardcore (especially black on black). It's either a stand alone site or members of Black Tgirls get a very deep discount on it as a bolt-on to that site and we're confident in the feedback on this site.

Shemale.XXX - http://www.shemale.xxx - I've never been afraid of taking a risk and working on an .XXX domain is controversial in the industry but I've been working on the concept for this site for a while and the domain was too perfect to not take. The site aims to show the hottest worldwide models BUT not the ones seen everywhere. We aim to get new models or those under-exposed and these ideas seem to be hitting home. Add to this the best content on the internet courtesy of some of our regular photographers and a couple of new ones, 100% phone/device compatible and daily (M-F) updates the site is performing above expectations and we can only see it grown.

Grooby Network - http://www.grooby-network.com - set up to provide solo models with a way to launch their own sites, while retaining a much higher percentage of the revenue than most site networks as well as 100% ownership of their content and site name, the sites took longer than we thought to launch but we were very proud when models http://www.brittanystjordan.com and http://www.michelle-austin.com released their sites at the end of 2011. We currently have 3 more sites due for release and a bunch of girls lining up.

Thanks to you, Shemale Yum, Black Tgirls, LadyboyLadyboy, Brazilian Transsexuals, Shemales From Hell, Shemale Pornstar, Franks Tgirlworld & Shemale Japan were all able to produce some of their best material to date and make 2011 an awesome year for shemale porn.
Grooby Productions has introduced in 2011 a wide range of models from Eva Lin, Teighjiana, Sunshyne Monroe, Tiffany Starr, Liz Mac, Dominque, Jenna Rachels, Lexington Thornberry, Vivian Rockwell, Audriana Markham, Aubrey Starr, Denni, Jane West, Kimmi Moore, Monique Dior, Wendy Summers among others as well as bring back alumni's Khloe Hart, Jordan Jay, Kelly Shore, Jizelle Moore, Alice Amuze, Celeste, Jesse, Danika Dreams and many more.

In 2011, Grooby produced over 1800 scenes (at least 240 hardcore scenes) and worked with something like, 600 models worldwide.

So what does 2012 bring?
I don't want to give too much away (you never know whose listening!) but we'd intended to take a quieter year ... well that intention has been broken already. We're having our N.American photographers get together next month to discuss quality improvement on the content (I'll be asking you questions about this), we're expanding our Japanese website, it's no secret we've a new ladyboy website coming at http://www.ladyboy.xxx and on top of the two Grooby Network sites we have two more sites in the works, one of which is taking a very different look at the transgender erotica we work in.

We've also got a number of free sites and projects we aim to build and improve upon. http://www.tgflix.com is at over 17,000 members on free profiles (if you haven't seen it - check it out) and we'd like to find ways to encourage more members uploading more personal content. If you have ideas or projects you'd like us to get involved in with you, our doors are always open to listen.

None of this could be possible with you. You are responsible for providing the budget to shoot those scenes, to bring the top models into our studios, to encourage new models to come and work with us and for us to continually strive to try and improve what we're offering to you or what you may need. We're constantly trying to find ways to provide you extra value for money and I think the addition for the Grooby For Free sets in 2011 have proven popular. As the economic situations worsen we will try and identify new ways to either provide you with more for your membership or more affordable solutions - and of course, we do have some free outlets, the aforemention Tgflix.com, tgirls.com, shemales.xxx and ladyboys.xxx for when you are between memberships.

THANK YOU all very much, for your continuing support and for allowing me to be able to work with the best team of support staff, photographers and models. This is my 16th year (or maybe 17th, I think I lost one in Amsterdam) doing this and I still love being able to serve you these fabulous girls so thank you all for that.
