I agree that white people are evil. But when you start to quote statistics you have to put them in perspective. Bear in mind that the US population is about 73% white and 12.6% black.

Crunch the numbers and you'll see that there are over-representations in many areas, not just incarceration.

That said, I feel that due to racism and wealth inequality (probably the very source of some of the crimes) that minority defendants are more likely to be charged with a crime and to be found guilty- whether because of prejudice, inadequate legal counsel, or what have you.

Justice may be blind, but I don't think it's color-blind.

The sad truth with the US is it's one of the richest countries on earth but most of the wealth is concentrated at the very top percentile whilst the bottom 60% are relatively poor. Poverty breeds crime and when you add in readily available guns it becomes a huge issue. I find it amazing and horrorfying that more than 1% of the population is in jail. Land of the Free ... really?

The poor are over-represented in the crime statistics. In the US if you are poor then crime can seem like a legit option where in a lot of the rest of the western world the poor are at least above the poverty line and dont have to work two jobs or the like just to survive.

The US military is full of people from poor backgrounds because they choose that as a way of getting a decent paying job that provides food and a place to sleep. A lot of those people choose the military not because they particularly want that lifestyle but more because it's the best they can hope for.

Lots of TS girls work in the adult industry because there is no real safety net to assist them meaning that is the only decent paying job they can get.

There's poverty everywhere it just amazes me that the us has such a larch % of their population below that line.
