Still waiting for examples from any of you?

The photography has changed over the years from one guy with a simple point and click, scanning and no retouching to shooting with professional lighting, makeup, great cameras and better photographers. I stand by the fact that we do very little retouching from the original photos.

I'm an amateur sports photographer and I've touched up many faces during post-processing. What I'm seeing is a waxy skin look that make the models appear more like mannequins in wax museum.

This is not the case with every Grooby site and photographer.

What *appears* to be happening to me is that in some shoots, the images appear to have been shot in JPEG and not in RAW. Consequently, the JPEG imaging in-body camera software is applying extensive noise reduction to the point where skin looks waxy.

On a bit of a side note, this is a big discussion issue of Fuji cameras with the XTRANS Sensor when shooting in JPEG mode vs RAW

Update: I should add that shooting in RAW doesn't eliminate the issue either. When I shoot events at ISO 6400, I have to be very cognizant of my post-processing noise reduction lest the same thing happen to me!

No, I'm not looking at contrast - I'm looking at noise reduction - and I'm a subscribed member of 3 sites at the moment.

That being said, I've tried to be as constructive and polite as I can rather than a complainer who hasn't paid for a site.
