Hi everybody; first post here. I was playing around on google trends and came across something interesting; around late 2005 there appears to be a spike in searches for terms related to ts. I have been trying to figure out why this might be and have only came up with two possible reasons; neither of which are very good.

The first possibly is that the show nip/tuck which was running are story line on transsexual romance at the time might be behind the spike. The times do match up eerily so. The most relevant episodes and the spike both happened in October. However, after the spike, interest remained high for a significant period of time; longer than a year. I don't think the show would be able to sustain this level of interest after it had finished.

The other possibility that I can see is that it was the explosion of tube sites. Youporn opened in August 2006; a couple of months before the spike. I am not too familiar with the history of the tube spikes, but I believe in a sense, they came on the scene with a bang. Suddenly, people did not have to actively seek out ts porn on a paysite, but instead may have accidentally came across it when looking for another genre; leading to a surge of searches looking for more.

Like I said, I don't think either of these fit perfectly, but I cant seem to think of other possibilities. Does anyine here have any ideas?

By the way, here is the link to the graph https://www.google.co.uk/trends/expl...ssexual%20porn.
