Torrents are a little complicated, so I stick to rapidshared files and things of that sort. I'm prolly not the person to help answer that question since I'm a torrent noob.

torrents are easy as pie to work. get yourself a torrent client, I use utorrent (get the stand alone version) download the torrent activation file, open the activation file with utorrent, selecet where you want the file to download and then leave it running. SIMPLE!!!

I've only got xvid installed on my machine and then VLC as my main media player. the latest version of it has the codecs built in, even the shittie .mkv codec.
