In my opinion Friday would have been a better night. I think cobra is a good place and I like the location. This may take business away from cobra.

You think Cobra is a good place?
I think it's a travesty that it's just about the only trans club in Los Angeles. They charge $10 to get into a basic shithole, with watered down drinks outside and give zip back to the community.

Friday nights are probably too expensive to get locations which compete with gay/mainstream markets.

First night was last Thurs. Bunch of our crew went but I haven't seen photos or feedback yet - Morgan was there.

I don't know anything about the management of cobra. I'm just saying I like the way the bar is set up and where it is located. Also parking and traffic is not bad. I also liked blue moon for the same reasons.

I thought the $10 was standard for all the clubs and went towards paying the people in the shows.

Free parking helps. Blue Moons was excellent - loved that set up. I just think it's shambolic the lack of anything invested into a trans night. $10 cover is fairly standard, but you don't expect to get watered down drinks for that. I can live without the shows, I don't think I've ever watched one all the way through.

It's f*ckered. Club owners apparantely were assholes and give it two weeks with no promotion. Looks like they didn't want it there in the first place.
