Firstly, blackmail is an offense which the Police take very seriously and is on a whole different level to threats of outing.

Secondly, from what I've seen such claims on here are usually either unsubstatiated or obviously cases where the girl has been blowing off steam at a bad client with no intention of actually carrying out the threat. See examples in links below. I don't doubt there's more serious cases out there, but I can't say I've seen them.
