My thoughts on this:

1) As others have suggested, there are a number of TS women for whom topping is a reminder of everything they dislike about themselves. If you're pressuring those women, I'm certain you'll see that baggage bubble up as a response.

2) There's a large group of guys who get turned on being called gay slurs while they are fulfilling their cock sucking/ bottoming fantasies. So if you're hearing it from a service provider, it may be because they're applying that experience to you.

3) There's another group of people (both men & women) who use trans-people as their way of exploring homosexuality/ bisexuality while being in denial about it. These folks treat transpeople like "gay-lite" and their behavior is very off-putting to transfolks because it's very obvious from our vantage point what the person is in denial about given the way we are approached.

I have a related question. How many guys on here are open about their fondness for TS girls with their friends / family? I must admit I'm not. It's not because I'm afraid of being labelled as a homosexual, it's more that I wouldn't know where to start as I am not just a 'tranny chaser', I'm someone who simply finds women attractive whether they have a pussy or a cock.
