no, thats a hard language to learn. its so weird because you expect them to speak Spanish and they don't. Google translate is a fucking godsend tho

Haha I'm sure and Yeah the language is not the easiest for an English speaker to learn.
I'm learning it now it's far easier than French which i have some background in though.
The thing about Portuguese speakers is that they can understand a bit of Spanish but Spanish speakers can not understand Portuguese at all.

You'd think there would be a lot more overlap between the two languages. Reading Portuguese, in my head sounds like broken Spanish. Depending on context, I can sometimes get the gist.
