The Washington Post had an article about how the Right is elevating “detransitioners” in an effort to fight against trans rights and legal acceptance.

Remember when Republicans said they were “the party of personal responsibility”? Now it’s apparently okay to blame society when you regret your life choices, at least when it comes to trans people.

File “personal responsibility” in the same dumpster as other core conservative principles that have been trashed in the Trump era, like “family values”, “no judicial activism” “free market economics” “law & order”, “deficit reduction” etc.

Oops, the article is in the NYTimes:

How a Few Stories of Regret Fuel the Push to Restrict Gender Transition Care”

In the campaign to ban gender therapies for minors, Republicans have amplified a group of activists who no longer identify as transgender, overriding objections from transgender people and medical experts

When Missouri lawmakers took up bills to ban transition care for minors, Chloe Cole, an activist from California, traveled to Jefferson City to offer her story as Exhibit A.

After living as a transgender boy for years and getting a mastectomy at 15, Ms. Cole says she felt stifled by a male identity and distraught by her body’s changes. She decided to detransition, returning to her female identity.

She also decided to speak out. She has told her story in Florida, and in Idaho, Kansas, New Hampshire, Ohio, South Dakota, Tennessee and Utah. Republican lawmakers typically listen attentively, sometimes in tears. In March, Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida relayed Ms. Cole’s story in his State of the State address, while she received a standing ovation.

My guess is like Alex Jones he will string the case out with appeals and not pay a dime. The man has nothing but contempt for the truth and the law, in this he is a true Republican leaving dishonour and destruction wherever he goes, and really doesn’t care.

Find a woman- an American citizen- in distress, and make her suffer. When she needs compassion and professional help, be cruel, be merciless as you make her life more distressing and miserable. And then threaten those professionals with the violence of the law as it takes a baseball bat to crush medical opinion and the freedom of doctors to recommend the best treatment for their fellow American.

Ken-Paxton-Pain has no shame in being the standard bearer of American Cruelty, he can do no other when faced with a woman in distress, I guess it is the whole point of being Texas where pregnant women become the slaves of mass murdering Christians who hand out military grade guns and kiddie shredder bullets to any lunatic who wants to slaughter Americans.

Will the US ever become a country where being kind is a virtue, and the basis of health care? I doubt it.

And so the Christian man skipped another part of a nonsensical book, and sometimes he tried to distract people who pointed it out by making funny faces, and mumbling something about some lord working in mysterious ways.

“…quite obviously surreptitiously passing around USB ports as if they're vials of heroin or cocaine".

So obvious but the man cannot produce a shred of evidence to prove he is right, because what is obvious is Giuliani’s contempt for the Constitution, contempt for the voters of Georgia, contempt for Georgia’s election workers, contempt for the rule of law, and contempt for the Truth.

    Obviously a contemptuous liar.

Interesting how the Left slams Christianity and the Right slams Islam...

But neither of them slams them both....

Ah, ‘the left’, a convenient label for those who March on demonstrations and make a lot of noise, mostly emotional mostly devoid of rational argument or historical knowledge.

Marx dismissed religion as the ‘opium of the people’, while some of your Black brothers and sisters have embraced both Islam, and the weird concoction invented by ‘Wallace Fard’ and Elijah Mohammed and re-branded by Louis Farrakhan.

Religion in the US is a multi billion dollar industry, maybe that should prompt your questions and who knows, provide you with some answers.
