Which bars \ clubs do you recommend in SF?

....afraid I can't be of much help there, my friend...it's been about 30 years since my cabby days, and I haven't lived there since the end of the 80s so my handle on the various night spots is not what it used to be. At this point, it consists mainly of the Fillmore and various music venues and a few restaurants.Back when I was cruisin, there was quite an active TS scene around the Post/Sutter Polk/Leavenworth area and clubs like the Motherlode and the Black Rose were good spots which are no doubt long gone by now.
