    Yeah, as soon as I read "origami microscope" I thought of Leeuwenhoek (and the Wiki article references it). I'm not sure if Leeuwenhoek eventually replaced his water drops with glass beads of differing radii or not - probably. The led light and diffuser panel is a helpful addition.
