Justice for Islan Nettles
Just thought this should be posted. I remember the case in the news. She was beaten to death...whether or not she was killed by the initial blow - it seems the suspect continued to rain blows on her after she was down.
Trial will be later this week because the suspect turned down a plea deal.
Fucked up and sad.

Re: Justice for Islan Nettles
It's amazing that he thinks he can do better than twelve years behind bars for taking another person's life. I hope he's wrong.

What a dickhead, there is NO excuse for what he did. Sounds to me like he liked TS's but didn't want to look silly in front of his mates...

Re: Justice for Islan Nettles
Yeah, there's definitely something there...too bad people who have plenty of problems and worries in their own life have to worry about getting killed by a stupid douchebag who thinks someone else's physical well being isn't as important as how he looks in public - imaginary or not ...as if , other than his own asshole crew, anyone would ever even have known who he was.
Plus, as seen in the picture, Islan Nettles was a very attractive young lady, but if she was hanging out with her friends on a corner - and he was staring and noticing, he probably would have had at least an idea that she might have been a bit different...
Sad.
Kill a person who may have made you feel like a king or who probably would've understood if he had just kept walking.
Taking a plea would have been honorable for him.
But why take a more difficult path when you don't have an 'honor' gene.

Brooklyn Man Pleads Guilty in Transgender Woman's 2013 Death
"A Brooklyn man who fatally beat a transgender woman after a chance encounter in Harlem in 2013 pleaded guilty on Monday to manslaughter in exchange for a sentence of 12 years in prison, prosecutors said."
Wow 12 years doesn't seem nearly enough...and he could even be paroled
