    Default 1080P and beyond

Where is all the high quality TS Porn at? I know there are a few places to get 1080P but absolutely nothing exists higher than that. In fact a lot of people still shoot in 720P which is unacceptable in 2016. Also need to step the game up on images. Images need to be at least 2560x1440 if not 3840x2160. Just take a look at this pic of shiritrap from tumblr. Tumblr should not be the go to source for HQ pics.

as someone who works in HD video, the issue I have is storage and streaming.
1st - HD footage in its raw format is BIG, for me a 30 min file is 30 gigs if your using Proress files, second is where to store it, if your streaming it. That takes up allot of bandwidth, even if your using the latest codecs like YouTube is using to store and stream videos. all this cost time and Money, and I'm sure money is one issue every adult website is having due to "tube" sites.

A 1080P video should not exceed 2 or 3 Gigs. 4K probably not more than 10 Gigs. Of course these should be downloaded and not streamed. I agree that revenue is lost due to tube sites but that should make it more important to offer high quality and not tube quality videos.

We're actually testing on 4k shooting right now.

4K, Virtual Reality, and 3D files are MASSIVE. Really MASSIVE. I can tell you right now, that almost no city in the USA supports internet speeds that would make it feasible to create a TRUE 4K video that a user is going to choose to download over a 1080p video... it is LITERALLY - 4x the size (and more if done correctly) of a 1080p video - which again - there are actually very few companies that even offer TRUE 1080p that isn't upscaled 720p (or lower) or rendered with the appropriate settings for true HD video. To stream a 15 minute true (non-scaled) 4K video, you would have to have an internet speed that is approximately capable of speeds from 35MB/S to 100MB/S... and that's just the lowest rendering setting before you start damaging the quality of the original. I don't know of any city in the US that even comes close on a regular basis... I'm talking real-world speeds here - not advertised. I don't think it's really feasible to tell Members to "download only" after most people these days are used to streaming.

It is actually a LOT more complicated of an issue than just buying equipment and shooting. To be done correctly, 4K is a MASSIVE undertaking with a myriad of things that End Users (consumers) don't think about. Computers that can actually work with 4K, Software that can render 4K, redoing all entry / exit / warning / etc. screens for 4K... It's not easy for a small business, and especially an independent site to do. I'm working on all of the above right now for my site for future proofing, but honestly, there is nothing that you'll see in 4K that you won't see in 1080p. Sure, you can sit closer to your screen and still get detail, but I've tested scenes with a 4K TV and a 1080p TV side by side, and see no distinguishable difference (shot with 4K iPhone 6plus S, GoPro Hero Black, Sony Action Cam X1000, and Sony Prosumer Ax100 (borrowed from friend) that would make a difference to me on a porn level.

Curious to know what other consumers think about this so please comment if you have thoughts! Would 4K video actually be a deciding factor for you purchasing porn? Would you be OK with massive file sizes? Who even has a 4K TV and / or computer monitor?

Forgot - Also curious about images as I'm playing around with increasing the sizes of pictures for my galleries. I just am not sure that there is a need... who actually views images on monitors that are 4K capable or who actually "zooms" into a picture for actual detail? In my mind, larger pictures just equals larger file sizes for something that is more of a "fluffer" to videos. In other words, do you porn consumers actually whack off to pictures still? or just use them to generate interest in a particular set, browse when you're bored, etc. etc. ?

Just started using 1080 for my video use. Love it, should have started sooner.

I use 1080p on my website, and will be implementing 3D/VR next month. I decided not to go with a 4k camera because, as others have stated, the file sizes are enormous, and also...there doesn't seem to be many viewers with 4k capable monitors out there. If enough people start requesting 4k quality videos though, I'm sure the industry will adapt
