I watched the New Yrs firework celebration at 3pm NY time last week on TV as some hotel was on fire practically next door. Looked like a great party town to me!! And the fireworks were fantastic!!

it is one of the most bland places on earth.
everything is artificial and the only sense of culture you will get there is a few dumb islamic rules.

i have been there 2 times. one time for holidays (worst mistake i ever made) and during a 3 day stay for a trip to thailand.

not to mention that pretty much every place is incredible if you have a lot of money lol
