Here in NYC (and probably in L.A. too...) a large percentage of the latin TS community is undocumented.

Here in California, an illegal immigrant can have a driver's license, can receive in-state tuition from public universities, as well as special scholarships, free state-funded healthcare. Illegal immigrants in California can take employers to court and sue them for withheld wages, or even for what they believe to be low wages... and win. They also receive state protection from deportation by the federal government.

In California, illegal immigrants have been granted essentially every right a citizen has, without having to actually go through the process of becoming a citizen or immigrating here legally.
