Like Christian said, it is very unlikely it would result in getting infected. But depending on how well or not well you know the partner, it's still better to avoid contact with bodily fluids. That said, it is still nearly impossible.

I hope you know it takes about 6 months for HIV to show up on tests however. You should take one again in 6 months but you'll come up negative again, unless you engage in some risky behavior.

Charlie Sheen was engaging in much riskier behavior than you described, on a much more recurrent basis.

    Obviously, so was Sheen's partner....

I'm sorry dreamon but this is simply not true. Even the simplest test will tell you on average at 3 months....though there are now tests that can sometimes do it in a month.

    it's a pointless observation though...why?
Because Sheen's partner may or may not have contracted the virus from a partner he or she trusted. Regardless of what people do for a living, they often contract the virus from someone they (mistakenly) trust in their personal lives. We all do that at different times.
After that, if she intentionally spread the virus - then shame on her, but it doesn't exonerate Sheen.

P.S...I don't think Sheen is any better anyway, because there is no way in hell I actually believe that Sheen stopped having risky sex after he learned that he was positive.
    I'm not that stupid.

I strongly agree here. She might not have known she had the virus before giving it to Charlie, regardless of how she got it. The big moral failure is having sex with other people after you find out you're positive and not telling them. We don't know nearly enough information about how Charlie contracted it to indict this other person and as you say, it does nothing for his culpability.

    I liked what you said...but...

Here in NYC (and probably in L.A. too...) a large percentage of the latin TS community is undocumented.
They often choose to escort because nothing else they opt to do in their given situation will ever give them the bang for the dollar that escorting will.
If that's the case...what do you think they will do when they, all of a sudden, find out they are HIV Pos.?
Live on food stamps, hope they don't get sent back home and be happy to look like a dude in a dress because they can't even afford to take illegal hormone shots?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not justifying anything.
But I think it's crazy to think a TS escort, who may be in this country illegally, all of a sudden is going to stop escorting or come clean to a trick...
    well, it's just not realistic.

Sheen is wealthy....he has other options.
and because of that,...he is in fact more culpable.

    .
This is all stuff I haven't thought about. Personally I would say it's culpable but not as culpable as someone who has more options. I'm not sure exactly what she would do except find some other job...because as you say, telling the tricks would end her money making venture.

You certainly provide the relevant facts for her moral dilemma, but it's only a dilemma because expedience (in this case compelling) tempts her to do the wrong thing. But I bet there are plenty of people who have hiv and don't tell their partners, and the urge to do so is probably greater for those whose livelihood depends on concealing their status.

Yeah, not a huge portion of the population makes 300 or so dollars an hour as it is..

Edit: I will point out that your hypothetical does make me think twice about seeing escorts...haven't done in several years but even if I don't condone lying I can understand why someone charging money for sex would be tempted to do it.

Flaco this isn't the first time you've come back with something like this and I remember the panic you were in last time.

Btw, it takes 2 weeks to 2 months for enough antibodies to show up in a test.
