I'm not trying to undermine the problem as Trump is crazy and stupid...but so are Le Pen and Wilders and the whole slew of neo-fascist parties that have some representation in parliaments across the continent.

Good point. As you say, it's a big concern that he can be leader because a lot of political power is concentrated in our president. Maybe I'm just being optimistic, but I think that even if he keeps his core following he won't be able to carry enough people in a national election. You and I and many others here hope not, no matter how cute his supporters are!
