Just a couple of questions.

1. Why are feminine looking boys called "traps"?

2. Where did the term come from?

3. What's the difference between a fem-boy and a trap?

Me personally, I love them both.

There is another thred that covers this but since i'm already typing:

1) Because internet meme's. answer to 2nd questions also answers this.

2) 4ch and anime fandom via Japanese crossdressing culture. In typical millinal fashion they reinvented the wheel. If you are familar with cosplay (dressing up as your fav charater), then you may have heard of crossplay (crossdresing as your fav character). Some Japanese crossplayers were/are VERY GOOD to the point guys couldn't tell they were men. These weren't TS or gay guys just dudes who like to crossplay and were good at it. The guys who hit on them not knowing they were men were tricked or fell for the "trap". Then a 4ch thread pop up focusing on crossplaying and how hot some of them looked. Then someone posted a pic of baily jay (overrated IMO) not realising that baily is a TS (or not caring). Someone else posted a picture of adminaral akbar from star wars and his "It's a Trap!" line (which was already a meme to be funny, but people are people, so rather then calling them crossplayers they started to call them traps. and the term stuck.

3) There isn't really, but in practice, traps are actively trying to pass as women, while taking no surgical or medical procedures to do this (only make-up and clothing, unlike a TS). Not all femboys do this. Some are happy just to wear some womens clothing and that it. The passing part isn't as important to them, where as for traps its the entire point. This is why some traps look hotter then some TS's with bolt ons and on hormones, its about looking attractive FOR straight males, NOT for themselves. Also most traps see themselves as part of the CD community. Femboys I think see themselves as gay or TS in training.

Mmm, not exactly...traps look like girls in trap mode, but some don't look fem at all in boy mode.

Sasha will tell you she has a boy mode, but definitely she's a trap when in girl mode.

A trap is mistaken for a woman, hence you're "trapped' lol

...uh.....and this is what i hate about this board. People can't put their personal bias aside for a second and just answer a question.

OP do a google search and you'll find a more detailed answer (I gave you cliffnotes based on facts and all the link sources are easy to find, hell the 4ch thread is still going i think).
