Default Looking to work in TS film

Hello, I've been wanting to do this for awhile, I'm really not sure where to look. I've come to the realization that although I'm college educated, the regular workforce isn't for me and never has been.

I've looked at craigslist ads, it's hard to tell what's real and what's not.

About me, I'm 31 (pass for mid 20s), 5'9 155, toned, 7in long and 5in thick. Attractive, latin, somewhat androgynous looking. Can send pics via private message.

I currently live in a suburb east of LA, but am looking to move to the valley this month and currently am looking at apartments there.

I have a few questions, and I know there are some established performers on this forum. I find TS women very attractive, have been with a few, and it was great.

    - What part of LA is the best to be in? Basically anywhere in the valley? What about Vegas?

    - what type of film would be considered the first you can be in? one-on-one point of view? I'm sure a higher budget parody for example would not have anyone new to the industry in it.

    - What can you expect to be paid per shoot if you're brand new in the scene? I assume certain scenes pay more than others. Have also heard TS film pays men more than straight on average, but not more than gay. I'm not interested in gay.

    - I do have genital herpes (hsv 2). I rarely have outbreaks. Have nothing else. I've heard that in the adult film industry, it's very common and won't matter, then I've heard it depends upon studio.

    - Approximately how much does testing cost per month?

I know it's a lot of questions, but really any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    Anything?

This really is what I want to do, if someone can only answer a few of the questions that would be helpful. Things are difficult lately but I know I can do well in this. I've wanted to for a long time.

Search the forums. Every few days/weeks someone posts a thread along the lines of 'I want to do TS porn'; it's all a bit old hat now really and I seriously doubt this is the right place to be asking for advice. Why not try looking up content providers' details, contact emails and such (from their websites) and send them a message.

Aside from that I'm merely a consumer as most people here are so can't help you but I do have to wonder if having an STI isn't going to block your way into the industry. Probably only a content producer can answer that.

Honestly there aren't many guys making a living from TS porn - threads often comment that they see the same guys over and over - so it must be about as difficult a niche industry to find employment in as there is. If you're genuinely an attractive guy you might have more luck going into acting/add work or something (and an STI won't be an issue), but saying that you have more chance doing that is just the ironic way of pointing out how little chance there is of making a living as the male performer in TS porn. Guys like Christian are legends considering how many scenes they have done but even he has to work exceptionally hard and produces his own content now.

Before I came here I was confused about this subject. Having listened to your lecture I am still confused. But on a higher level. Enrico Fermi

I appreciate the reply. I was hoping someone could shed some light on the various questions I had. I've tried to look on the forum but haven't found anything specific to what I was asking.

Real acting is something I have considered as well, but at my age, it's too late and would be competing against people even younger with possibly decades of experience. It's an oversaturated market in LA.

I also thought being somewhat androgynous looking may actually help since it's a contrast to the more typically masculine men in TS film. I can also see where the more masculine man provides a stark contrast to the TS and how this may be entertaining to the viewers. Regardless, TS film has interested me for years now I'm very confident that at least a serious look would be given to me, provided genital herpes is not an issue.

    I will continue to search.

Per the CDC, approximately 11.5% of sexually active US men under the age of 50 are infected with HSV2 and 21% of US women in the corresponding age group (14-49 years old). The incidence of infection rises substantially with an increased # of sexual partners where an estimated 25% of those with 10 or more sexual partners are infected. It has been purported by several both inside and outside the industry that herpes infection is par for the course in the adult industry though such data has been very difficult to track therefore there are no concrete numbers. Finally, just because the incidence of HSV2 infection in adult work in general may be high does not mean it correlates to this niche of porn. As no concrete data has been gathered by the CDC, transgender erotica would have a significantly lower incidence of HSV2 infection than the straight and gay cohort, it could be a push or it could have a significantly higher incidence. You will likely find no conclusive opinion here partly because any performer who answers could do damage to their reputation by admitting their status.

Taken together, does that mean that just because you don't have an active outbreak, that you will be welcomed into the fray? Absolutely not! There is a bit more to being a male pornstar than looks (if you have them), desire (if you really understand what a porn shoot is like) and a clean bill of health. Good luck.

I only wanted to know if hsv2 was an automatic disqualifier or not for someone trying to get into the industry (regardless of straight/gay/TS).

If someone is already established, the rules may be different, have no idea and thought someone may know.
