The Larry Flynt case established that permission does not need to be sought to parody a public figure. Weird Al has to ask permission because he uses the copyrighted original music in his parodies.

your assertion is patently false. This business isn't a team sport, its everyone for themselves. The success or failure of a movie has absolutely zero to do with personal careers of Ada and/or Jamie. I would further argue that both Ada & Jamie make their livelihood mostly outside of the porn industry, they are mostly their own brand at this point. Lastly, if you think trans500 is doing it right, I fear you haven't watched a lot of good porno.

well, as a face of the industry, you know it better but you are not thinking in an industry-wide sense. you appear to be thinking about the bottom line and intentions of each individual producer. thinking more globally, if any producer is boycotted for their work being considered offensive, it will give others pause in taking risks. That will ultimately hurt the industry. The ROI for this movie will likely affect further bookings for Trans500, and while Jamie and Ada may not be working with Trans500, it will affect their cohort.

Will the transgender erotica industry die if this movie fails? Clearly not, but to me, this is a case of Jamie simply getting on a soap box when she clearly has made statements that contradict her present stance. It is afterall, just porn...adults fucking for the amusement and entertainment of other adults. Poking fun at pop culture icons is par for the course.

Let's take the Jenner example out of it for just a minute. If you see that some of your scenes are selling better than others, are you not more likely to re-book the same girl again. You casting choices are driven by what sells. If Kailyn Gender doesn't sell, it will affect further casting choices. What if the producers of Real Housewives decided to file an injunction against using the title, "Transsexual Housewives of Hollywood" for damage to their brand. Would that not have given producers pause on what to parody? Of course it would have.

Now, with respect to livelihood, I am only armed with Jamie's words about how she makes money fucking...so if her other endeavors pay her bills and porn is just for chump change, so be it. I can tell you that I will not spend a dollar on her work because it does not turn me on for many reasons...be it something she stars in or films.

As for whether or not I am a fan of Trans500...absolutely, I am. You are a porn star so you have an entirely different perspective both being in front of and behind the camera but as the end user, who only cares about the uploaded product, the #1 thing is and always will be whether or not i find the girl to be beautiful. I find most of the girls booked by Trans500 to be amazingly hot so based on that criteria, they are definitely doing it right. A piece of porn can be the most highly intimate, feature every position i like with multiple cum shots, be well produced, well scripted and shot with the best angles, lighting and be heralded by the entire universe as the greatest porn ever...if i don't like the chick, it is not going to turn me on.
