I was referring to testing in the industry. Not many people are aware of how it works. Plus there are still a lot of scenes that use condoms as well. It's good for people to get an idea of what happens in terms of testing in the Porn Industry. It is excellent against preventing HIV. Lack of information or misinformation ends up leading to situations like LA County.

There are people who have misconceptions about the adult industry. The OP was just asking if it had ever happen. It's a good chance the OP may not understand how testing works. I refer to LA County, because of the push by many people to have condom only scenes. If people where more aware of what happened it would have never came to what it did.

I think its good and helps people understand that this being done in a different environment then what some have made it seem. That safe sex is a concern in the adult industry. I feel it could be beneficial, but I guess you might disagree.

in LA county there is a push by ONE ORGANIZATION LED BY ONE MAN - AHF and Michael Weinstein who want condom only scenes. This has failed and everyone is still shooting non-condom scenes. Only a few companies bent to his nonsense/CAL-OSHA bullshit.

I don't think talking about the inner workings of how porno is made makes a single bit of difference to civilians or porn consumers at all.

I disagree, its like in any industry information helps breakdown misunderstandings. People will always ask, there are plenty of threads on this forum about the porn industry and that it speaks volumes to people general curiosity.

Even still, it takes politicians to pass a law. Politicians are elected by people and people influence how politicians vote.

The problem with this thread is that the OP did not think through the question he asked -even in the dismal 1980s when HIV/AIDS was a serious epidemic, it was close to impossible to prove that a porn performer contracted HIV from their work, as if they had no other sexual relations, no intravenous drug habits, no blood transfusions or any other modes of becoming HIV+. These days, if a person A claims to have been infected by a person B that claim is worth nothing without a considerable degree of intrusive investigation into the sexual behaviour of both A and B and the other people they have had sexual relations with, in or out of the film industry. The assumption that porn performers are more vulnerable to infection than anyone else is plain stupid.
