Chicago Help Please

I'm traveling to Chicago coming up shortly and will be there for an extended weekend, Thursday through Sunday. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding the most t-girl friendly bars, clubs or nightlife that I should visit? Coming from Tennessee there isn't much in the way of culture or trans community here. Just looking for a fun couple of nights, possibly mixed with some good entertainment. Perhaps even tips on dress code so I don't look like a country bumpkin.

From my search so far it looks like Kit Kat Lounge is a fairly swanky place with a good show but that may not necessarily be the best hangout spot when flying solo in a new town.

Does anyone happen to know officially is La Cueva is open or closed? It say closed on Yelp but Goolge lists hours for it and seem like someone said it had reopened.
