Sure. And to elaborate deeper, I've sort of experienced this, even though I never formally detransitioned. Basically, in my early days of discovering this kink I started questioning my gender as a result of it. Not long after I was having issues keeping up with getting my HRT, so I decided to stop taking it altogether to see how it made me feel. This coincided with the pandemic, and I just sort of... rolled with it for a while.

This is me before the pandemic, I was on HRT for 3 years at this point.



And here I am around a year ago. I've never been very naturally masculine but being off estrogen really snuck up on me!



But anyways, I'm pretty confident now that I really am a woman, just with an out there fetish. I've been back on HRT for 6 months and just a few weeks ago switched to E injections, which I've never done before. I very much want to get back to where I was ASAP, but it is what it is, I don't really regret it that much.

This kinda reminds me a little of how some cisgender women have submissive fantasies. Never in a million years would they want to be raped in real life. They may even be staunch feminists. But in the privacy of their own bedrooms with a trusted partner, they sometimes enjoy “consensual non-consent”.

Sometimes I listen to Dan Savage’s podcast, and he has mentioned that there are some gay males who are very politically active fighting for equal rights, but in the privacy of their own bedroom with a trusted partner, some of them might enjoy being called degrading slurs (“faggot” etc) during sex. They would never tolerate that outside the bedroom though.

So I’d say what you’re describing doesn’t sound particularly unusual or shocking to me... There are somewhat similar examples across the gender spectrum. I’m not sure what you would call this fetish… “identity violation” maybe?
