I'm putting this out there so everyone that is interested can download it.

Skype has been out for a while, I'm sure many of you have it or at least know about it. I myself had an account for months but never used it UNTIL I read in an article last week that for the rest of '06 Skype is allowing users to make calls for free using their software. I was skeptical of this but I downloaded the latest version and truth be told it works. My problem is that they only offer you 5 minutes, somewhat like a calling card. I've never done 5 minutes on the thing, so I can't tell you if thats per call or per day, but it's worth the FREE download to experiment and find out for yourselves............

Don't expect too many phones being answered using SkypeOut (out standing for outgoing calls)........ The call is seen on the others caller ID as "line 1"

probably been discussed several times over but they just released an app for the iPhone so..........

anyone else use it?

should HA include it below the sig as a way to contact members if they feel like sharing it with others?

i believe with skype on the iphone you have to buy credits to use, but it's still much cheaper than any international calling plan.

i dl the skype app on mines yesterday, its a mess.
you can use it for chat only.
