    Default Trusted reviews scheme

A lot as been discussed over the years about services offered by escorts and how we validate both the services and the reviewers opinions.

There is no certain method, so up until now we have relied on the democratic approach within forums like this one. It aint perfect but I think it largely works.

How can we improve this? Well, I don't think we should try and affect peoples opinions, but I do think we can have additional features to reassure both escorts and their clients.

There are all sorts of approaches, including tables, top tens and so forth but these are quite open to abuse.

    I'm suggesting the following:

Hungangels should work with agencies and independents so that reviews posted on escort sites could carry a message such as 'verified Hung Angels member' or similar. Only members with a track record with the site concerned should be allowed to join this scheme and should have a unique number for posting reviews.

Open to suggestions, what do you think?

Or how about making it a paid section only? $10 a month - would you pay that?

There won't be any further validation, any verified or anything being worked with the agencies whatsoever. If you want that, look elsewhere. If it continues to be a pain the ass, it will get removed.

The review sections. More complaints, more issues and more management then any other part of the thread.
Now how about you answer my question, how much a month would you pay for access to the reviews?

Absolutely. I think it provides a valuable service and I think a one off charge of $10 (but lets have real money and call it £7) would be entirely worthwhile for everyone. An ongoing charge would be a sucky idea and likely put people off. Maybe a trial membership before stumping up the cash (probably cause more trouble than its worth).... and you could use pay-pal so as not to scare off people who like their plastic private.

I have no idea about your issues, but having run some websites I can guess. Users can be a useful source of ideas though, so keep an open mind because you design for them, not for you.

The problem is multifold on anything where we're doing reviews.
Escorts put up an advert - and then complain when someone reviews them. Girls give other girls false ratings. There are plenty of assholes who just like to cause trouble in both sellers and buyers. One man's great time isn't always anothers. I'd say 90% of the moderation here takes place in those forums. Then there are the legal implications to consider in different places. This is a free forum, we make our money from selling advertising and from links to sites but those who visit escorts aren't really the same guys who are in the market for buying porn, hence when it takes so much of our time to moderate, with little return, it may become more trouble than it's worth.

I wouldn't be adverse to providing a (free), members only sub-forum for dedicated and proven reviews to share their experiences in private, if enough people said they'd be in to it.

Appreciate your detailed reply - yes legal issues must be a minefield. The initial charge might put off some of the trolls/fake reviewers. I was wondering if the HA idea could become a brand like the bunny, but having read up on your other page I have more of an appreciation of what you have going on already!

Its a really interesting observation that those who use escorts may not pay for porn, but without those users you might not have the critical mass for the forums. I'm sure I'm teaching granny to suck eggs, but I like it here so don't want it to fold.

And what happens to the people who have already contributed to the review section? seems like we would get screwed having to paid a fee having already helped plenty of people.

There have been other sites with a "verified" member system and it helps no one and ultimately leds to cherry picked reviews. not necessarily better ones. Once a indy/agecy relises a client is "verified" they can also give them great services for the sole purpose of getting a good review. This use to happen on SMR back in the day.

A better system would be that a person needs to be a member have a certain amount of time and have a certin number of post, before being able to drop a review.

the major issue with the reviews thread is that most of the post ARE NOT REVIEWS OR ABOUT REVIEWS. If off topic post were removed and repeat offenders blocked from the reviews thread this would go a much longer way to helping than retricting reviews honestly.

I'd pay per visit if I wanted to check the horizon.

    PayPal for preference. Obvious reason.

I know, now, who I like so don't need other reviews particularly, although I enjoy them.

Wouldn't be too thrilled at paying to leave a review.

Like Rascal - I like and enjoy the site: would be disappointed to see it, or even elements within it, disappear.

But GroobySteve is right - I don't subscribe to any porn sites, nor am I likely to.

I'm not much of a 'market opportunity'

    Like the new look.

Like I stated, it's highly unlikely there would be a charge on it - it's more to make a point really, that this site runs for free - and if one area was more problematic that another and we were spending time on it - and especially if it didn't really make us money, then I wouldn't look at divesting much time on it (or removing it).
