Jamie Foxx transphobic rant at Iheart radio awards

Not that he has ever been considered a king of comedy but Jamie Foxx is catching some heat for some transphobic comments he made about Bruce Jenner at the I heart radio awards last night. Even though Bruce has been very public about his transition. Jamie according to social media went over the line. Im curious does anyone else think he did it just to be edgy and controversial? Its not like his career has been cruising as of late.

I always wonder when someone on the inside in Hollyweird is so publicly against gays and transgenders. You know he's encountered TS during his Hollywood career, so why the teenage HS lockerroom transphobic rant?

Either Jamie Foxx is deflecting because of his own personal experiences, or he's simply a hateful, ignorant man.

Both scenarios sound realistic.

I don't like saying this about my people but a LOT of Black folk, particularly BM, are extremely homophobic and even projecting tolerance towards LGBTG is considered admitting one's own sexuality is in question.

Some people forget we live in 2015 and what was once acceptable to say publicly 5-10 years ago isn't today.

You can't get on a mike and bash gays and TS and not expect to catch hell for it.

This is definitely worth saying.

Jamie Foxx also has several comedy specials under his belt. This is pretty normal comedy from him. I'm not saying they're funny (nor am I defending the Bruce Jenner joke) but I just wouldn't call it a publicity stunt.

First thing I wanted to know after reading the topic post is what he actually said since the topic creator conveniently omitted that pertinent detail. Good to know it was just an off hand joke by a guy who is known in part for not just being a an actor, but a comedic actor as well - another pertinent detail.

I remember when he was on In Living Color there was a bit where he played a black woman. I don't remember her name, but wasn't it laqueesha or something like that. I thought that and everything else on that show was pretty funny.

Oops. I just googled it. The name was Wanda, not laqueesha. Lol.
