Why are there so many horrible video editors in TS porn?

Editing videos are part of making a great porno. Clearly there are many things that need to be edited out of a shot. The most important thing to remove is the director giving directions. Another thing that needs to be removed is pauses to shoot pictures. Errors caught on tape need to be edited out as well. Of course there are other issues that need to be removed as well.

I rarely see editing errors in straight porn, but I can't say the same for TS porn. Still to this day every TS porn company has serious editing problems. There are far too many scenes with the director speaking and giving directions to the pornstars. Why wasn't this removed from the finished project? It's 2015 and there isn't an excuse for why this is so common in TS porn.

So many editing errors make videos appear to be unfinished products. It feels like the video was rushed and pushed out before test playing it.

My main squabble with TS porn and porn in general is how often they omit proper credits for actors and actresses. It's a very simple thing that they omit as a standard almost.

I know you have difficulty accepting this (and I know what your response will be) but companies make very little on scenes, it's an economy of scale and if we could (or had the potential to) make more per scene, then we'd invest more into the editing, but it's not there.
So we edit nearly 200 scenes a month and get them out the best we can, I don't see it stopping people buying (so many people watch with sound turned down anyway) and very few people are as detailed orientated as you are, about their porn.

The exception is when some of our producer-directors do their own things, like some Radius DVD's or Buddy Wood's DVD's. Buddy spends countless hours doing a Peckinpah (editing until I have to hold a gun to his head to get the tape for release) and delivers easily the best DVD of the year, time and time again, yet NEVER gets recognized for it by AVN or Xbiz, so it's begs the question, why bother?

It takes time, energy and money to fix that shit...Unfortunately for us sticklers of detail...they are apparently satisfied enough w/ their bottom line while not bothering with it that they don't see the need to do it right. If the consumers stopped paying for the "unfinished product" that would change I'm sure....also, not holding my breath on that score
So, what's a po boy to do? a) make your own porn b) get yourself a video editing program w/ a pan/crop feature so you can eliminate all the close-ups of the stubbly faced dudes and their hairy sweaty assholes out of the frame...and also an audio track feature so you can erase all the off- camera bullshit from Silvera and those guys. That's what I had to do

The only problem I have with any of that is the "why bother" part...

*Because it means I don't have to work at Burger King,
*Because I want the most jerk-offable porn I can create with the resources at may disposal.
*Because I'm not just a producer, I'm a fan.
*Because I get to sharpen my skill set.
*Because I'd be jerking off anyhow so why not spend a little extra time doing something useful that my name is going to be attached to.

It takes time, energy and money to fix that shit.

Your point is just wrong on so many levels. It does not take long to remove 20 seconds of the director speaking from the video. It doesn't cost extra money at all companies already have editing software or at lease they should have it. The only problem that can't be easily fixed is camera flashing during a scene. That does take more time, money and energy to fix. The simple most solution is to turn the camera's flash off ahead of time to avoid facing this problem.
