I think you're reading too much into this. When discussing about such sensitives subjects comedy and jokes are a way to break the ice. You never know how the other person is going to act. Especially in the workplace. Hell you can even get killed for saying you like TSs.

To me ,it sounds like you should clarify what you want out of this friendship , and let him know what that is. However , since this is at work , than legal issues around sexual harassment come into play.
Legally , if he is the one approaching you with sex pictures , you have the advantage and can plead sexual harassment . So the threat of him"getting something on you" is null.
If this relationship 'goes south' are you prepared to just leave this job? If not , than play it safe and stay away from this guy. He doesn't strike me as very mature , honest or worthy of your trust.
