Well I have no industry connections I had the same feeling last year before arriving. I found it to be surprisingly inclusive, if you are a gentlemen the ladies are very friendly. I'm going as it was such a great time last year.

Thanks for the feedback Rusty! I find most people on here nice, respectful, and seem to genuinely enjoy mingling in the web netherworld, that it holds true when people get together for a great event like this doesn't surprise me, but it is good to hear. Good people find good people I believe. Very much looking forward to going. Hopefully we run into each other, first drink is on me!
