I'm headed out in about an hour so. And you can bet your bottom dollar (pun intended) that I will be stopping by the local mom n' pop' coffee shop for a refill of something....

Cappuccino early in the morning, an espresso late morning. Beer with lunch. Americano in the early afternoon, and espresso in the late afternoon and one to cap off the evening meal. Two fingers of Scotch before bed. That's five coffees on the average day for me. How 'bout you guys?

A glass of pretty good Australian Shiraz...and an episode of Big Bang Theory...but then it's early evening here...the day itself has been unremarkable. Which, oddly, I enjoyed. Fire Truck quiet for a few days as well. Good news. Really. If a little dull.

    "Clink"
Okay, they don't look like wine glasses, but "clink" anyway.

Homemade latte in the morning and usually around a 12 oz black coffee (no sugar) sometime in the afternoon. Used to drink an entire pot of coffee, and more, per day. Have added in the 1 alcoholic drink in the evening.

    Lightbulb Re: Saturday Morning Coffee

    Good morning Mr Fanti

It's 5:47 am Sunday morning. I just woke up. I had been
    sleeping since 9:00 pm Saturday.
Friday, i went to bed at 11:00 pm and woke up at 10:00
am Saturday morning. No, i am not feeling sick, i, actually,
    feel great.

Life is so nice without coffee in my system. I am able to
wake up and immediately start doing chores.
    Here's why, i think.
When i feel myself waking up, i, usually, just lie in bed for
about an hour, allowing myself to wake up slowly. I think
about things that i need to do. I think of my previous day.
    I think of everything.
And because i sleep in total darkness, not even with a
clock radio, i lay there and i wonder what time it is.
When my feet, finally, touch the floor, i make my bed. I am
    ready for the day.
First thing i do is use the washroom, of course.

Then i go and put the kettle on. As i wait for the water to
boil, i'll start doing dishes or whatever i see that needs doing.
Depending on what i feel like eating for breakfast, i'll even start
chopping vegetables for my breakfast and get the steamer going.
When the water is boiled, i take a heaping teaspoon of Sencha
green tea leaves and make a liter of tea (using a coffee press)
into which, depending on the day, i'll add one or two drops of either
Essential Oil of cinnamon or peppermint (no sugar).
That has been my daily morning ritual for years.
Since i quit smoking six years ago, coffee and black tea (with milk
and sugar) play an almost non-existent role in my life.
I DO keep organic coffee beans in the pantry, but i use that
coffee to detox my liver by doing coffee enemas with distilled
water, once a month or so.

I will admit that i will have a cup of coffee using my organic
beans, but that happens so very rarely.
I can, honestly, say that in all of 2014, i've only had a few
cups of coffee only because i had bought a new brand of coffee
beans and wanted to test the efficacy/strength of the caffeine
because when doing coffee enemas, the caffeine is important to
stimulate the bile ducts of the liver.
Now, isn't that interesting and need-to-know information. lol

Makes ya look at coffee in a whole different light, doesn't it?

    Dahlia Babe,
    Morning to you too!

(Albeit these Sunday mornings are more difficult to rise to after the activities of Saturday/Saturday night).

Tea is great stuff too! I'll drink black/green/white too! But I have good taste for a well made cup of Chai Tea.

    Ciao!
