Goodby Guess Bar Bangkok

Just got back from Bangkok and sad to report that Guess Bar is no more. Closed a week ago.
I have been going there since Ladyboy Jay opened it about 6 years ago. It changed hands a few times but was still ok until last year.

So sorry to hear that. I had some good times there back in 2009. Hopefully something comparable will open soon. Thanks for the heads up. Cheers.

Gipp, Bee and Vivian were my favourites. Bar fined them many times for a night of fun in the Majestic Grand on Soi 2. Darkside is a good alternative bar.

Didn't Jay have a sister named Jane working there or am I thinking of another bar? She gorgeous too from what I remember.

Yep, twin sisters, and then in later years the younger sister (GG), Pancake also worked there. I was a regular in Guess from it first opened on Soi 1 at the back end of 2006, and then after the move to Soi 4. It was a great alternative to the Nana bars, and many a great night was spent in there. The original staff, likes of Beer (Bia) Joy, Jenny, Ploy, Fern and Gate were some of the best hostesses and bedroom partners a guy could dream of. Sadly in 2010 Jay let herself go a bit, got into some serious debt, and the bar was taken over. But from 2007 until late 2009 it was arguably the best bar in the world.
