I've tried searching through the archives, but I've had to luck.

Has anyone been to Auckland recently and scoped out the T-Girl scene out there? I'll be there for a week next month. Any particular streets? Clubs/Bars?

I'm definitely keen to check out any Gay clubs that T-Girls may hang out at (even though I consider myself straight).

there are very few if any TS girls in New Zealand. I spent 2 weeks there and barely found 2 passable ones. good luck my friend lol

K' rd is the place you want to be. It's known as K' rd, but that is short for Karangahape Rd. Plenty of gay friendly bars, TS girls - there's even a club that does a drag revue. I think the main gay bar is called "Family". It used to be the seediest part of town, lots of streetwalkers, junkies etc. But now it's a lot better. Still plenty of TS around though.
As for the "passable" thing, with all due respect to Christian, there are plenty of honeys around. In particular among the Maori and Pacific Islanders. Yes there are some that look like a rugby player in a dress, but there's also a lot of very feminine and attractive ones too. I guess one difference is that boob jobs are far more rare - they're around but between the shit wages and it being a very expensive place to live many simply can't afford it.

But anyways K' Rd is the place you wanna be. Close to town right above Queen St.

Coincidentally, my hotel ended up being a block away from K Road. What's your personal luck/track record with the girls out there? Are most of them working girls OR can one grab a one-night-stand chick in the club?

I've only gone out hoping to pick up a couple of times. The first time was a success and that was just from trying my luck at a nightclub. It actually turned out to be a gay bar, but I just grabbed a drink waited by my lonesome for a little bit. No hassle at all, maybe because I didn't set off any gaydar alarms! Lo and behold a tall honey waltzed in, hit the dance floor and being the only guy in the whole bar interested, it all worked out pretty nice. So funny how people call being attracted to TS a gay thing - from what I've seen, gay guys have zero interest.

The last time I didn't even see many about. Bearing in mind, I was much younger and therefore probably more appealing that first time.
The working girls are more likely to be found near the street corners, usually a little more out of the light. But judging from the last time I walked through, there were gals to be found in the bars that I could see, even a fair few just walking through the street, probably going from club to club.

Just remember, it ain't Pattaya by any means, but it's best you'll get in Auckland.
