How in the hell is a solo scene nominated as a top scene? Jonelle Brooks's solo scene shouldn't be near the top. I understand solo scenes are popular amongst customers. However, to even consider a non-talked about solo scene is ridiculous. Were they randomly picking shit.

You have to move on and get past what the AVN Awards are - and always have been.
They've always taken those that get publicized the most - or who are forwarded by companies. There are a number on that list who shouldn't be there.
We haven't submitted for AVN for years (our distributor still does it) - unlike Xbiz where I'm more active on suggesting candidates.

I won't besmerch any of the nominees but every industry award group whether its AVN or the Emmys or Grammys etc will always be dependent on who has the most proactive/best PR or sympathetic voters in their sway. Not to mention maybe nominee x--- is a nice person on friendly terms with the voting committe and some eligable unnominate people never even campaigned or rubbed 1 or 2 people the wrong way. On top of that aren't there like millions of porn scene's filmed in a given year? Pretty hard to impartially rate the best even if you got tons of free time and spend hours every day trying to watch all available content. Lot's of quality scenes likely would slip under the radar.

We can't just blame AVN. Companies shouldn't be forwarding inactive or little active pornstars. Jonelle Brooks is the last person who should be suggested by anybody. Did Wendy suggest herself? Vaniity is riding on her legacy alone and that's how she won her most recent and undeserving award.
