    Default The Republican Majority

This could be the most dominant Republican Congress since 1929 and Republicans will walk into 2015 controlling both the House and the Senate. So what's next for America's future?

    National Debt?

    Keystone pipeline?

    Border Control?

    Healthcare Reform?

    ISIS?

    Ebola?

On the radio today the US Ambassador to the UK (an Obama appointee) was calm and suggested the mid-terms are always disappointing for a President in the second term. I think the issue is whether or not Republicans believe they can roll back legislation on gay marriage, health care, and what their position will be on taxes. I would expect them to be much more aggressive on foreign policy in the case of Syria and Iraq.
Incidentally, as the oil price continues to fall, the cost of fracking gets perilously close to unviable, it would be a bitter irony for the Obama Presidency if the foreign policy 'success' of depriving Russia and Iran -and IS- of its oil revenues were to see the loss of jobs and production in the shale industry with a corresponding increase in energy imports....

All they care about is making their rich supporters richer. That and throwing a bone to the religious right that votes for them. I.E., banning porn and birth control and oppressing anyone who is the slightest bit different. I fear for our country.

Roughly 70 percent of the populace are effectively disenfranchised. The political class couldn't care less what their opinions are.
I think roughly 70 percent didn't vote. Which is understandable. Because, again, they've no influence over government policy. None.
The right wing of the Republican Party (even Ron Paul pointed out that we've one political party; we've the illusion of choice) simply serve the super-rich -- which is roughly the 1 percent of the 1 percent; we aren't talking about the 1 percent anymore; it's the 1 percent of the 1 percent) and the moderate Republicans like Obama are moving very swiftly in that direction.
We've a plutocracy; we've a neo-democracy... whereby roughly 400 or so families participate in democracy, in THEIR democracy.

Uhh, you left out impeachment. Overreach is going to be the name of the game, here. Complete elimination of the filibuster could be another, and that might end up being the best thing this GOP Congress does as the filibuster is horrible.

You may be right. But I'm not absolutely sure I want to see the end of the filibuster. What I am sure of is that filibuster should in fact mean filibuster. None this, "let's just agree that you filibustered and not move on" shit.

The guy in the White House is black. Thats about it. The new senate majority leader vowed that his only job was to make the president a one term president. Lucky that turned out to be something he could do, but none of that has anything to do in supporting the state of KY, nor the nation. This new majority is already working on how to stop the health care law, beside the 52 votes they have already done. Keep in mind the president has the veto, and the minority now can filibuster as much as the old minority did,.
