Default What brought down TWA Flight 800?

Today is the 10 year anniversary of the fatal crash of TWA Flight 800 where 230 died. Even though the end result is the same regardless of what happened to the plane, I'd like to see what members of HA think.

I recall reading some articles that gave some credibility to the theory that it could have been a shoulder-fired missile...but when you're dealing with aircraft it can be almost anything that causes a crash...therein lies the mystery...but I would have to do more reading on it to vote on the matter...

TWA Flight 800 was shot down on July 17, 1996 at about 8:31 PM by a missile fired by the U.S. military during exercises they were conducting at that time. The available evidence indicates that the shoot-down was accidental.

Over 150 eyewitnesses report a missile shooting up from the sea and striking an airliner (which turned out to be TWA Flight 800), exploding in the process and raining down debris.

At first the U.S. Navy lied by saying that they had no vessels in the area of the TWA Flight 800 crash, claiming that the USS Normandy was the closest asset at over a hundred miles from the crash. But it was later revealed that the USS Trepang, a Sturgeon class attack submarine, the USS Albuquerque, a type 688 Los Angeles class fast attack submarine equipped with vertical launch tubes, the USS Wyoming, a nuclear ballistic missile submarine, USS Augusta, a type 688 submarine with vertical launch tubes for missiles, were all in the area at the time conducting exercises.

Both explosives and rocket fuel residue was found on the remains of TWA Flight 800. As well, ultra-supersonic projectile damage was inflicted upon the remains of TWA Flight 800, demonstrating the detonation of high explosives.

The above barely even begins to scratch the surface of all the massive amounts of evidence that proves that TWA Flight 800 was shot down by the U.S. military by mistake in a training exercise. For the above and more evidence, see the below:

    TWA missile theory co-author apologizes

    Says report was 'reckless'

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Ian Goddard, co-author of a report that claimed the U.S. Navy shot down TWA Flight 800, has told CNN that those charges were "reckless and a mistake."

In a written statement to CNN, Goddard apologized to "all those in the Navy I have wrongfully accused" and to "those who believed in my efforts and who are now upset with me for my change of mind."

Goddard co-authored the report with former ABC news reporter Pierre Salinger and a third man, Mike Sommers.

That CNN report turns out to be false. Ian Goddard does believe that a U.S. military missile hit TWA Flight 800, as can be seen from his below website:

"TWA Flight 800--The Missile Theory," Ian Williams Goddard:

    http://users.erols.com/igoddard/TWA800/index.htm

But even if that CNN report were true, it would still have no bearing on what happened on the day of July 17, 1996 to TWA Flight 800. It would be like someone saying that Joseph Stalin didn't murder tens of millions of his own citizens because a former critic of Stalin now says that he is wrong in his criticisms. The evidence stands on its own.

The CNN statement is dated November 5, 1997...show us where he (Goddard) recanted said statement after that date...from a credible source for a change...not that I'll be paying any further attention to your psycho spam for now...

And after that you can tell us yet again about the 9/11 hoax, how satanists control the government, how you met jesus (and how "well hung" he was-thanks for that line, J), how space aliens talk to you on a regular basis, etc...

And tell us again your theories about the Holocaust being a hoax, james...

Chefmike, you here demonstrate how you are quite the fabulist. You're the one who asked about how "well hung" Jesus Christ is. Thus:

I'm not familiar with the notion of carpenters being well-hung. As to Jesus Christ's state of "hungness," since He's God, he can be as hung or un-hung as he wants to be.
As far as how "space aliens talk to you on a regular basis," that's between you and your voices, chefmike. I don't believe in the existence of extraterrestrials, let alone hear any voices from them.
