I did a work study in the registrar's office at the college I was going to, I was not normally the person who would service people at the front but on this day I was. a woman asked me for her transcript, I said that her name was not in the system, she asked if she can speak to the person in charge, that person was busy but if I took her down her info I would pass it along.

Long story short we did a back and forth and she asked just to look at the records of a "Larry," I look for Larry and he was in the system but no note, I checked the paper files for Larry and on a scribbled piece of paper said "is now a girl." I apologized to her and explained that the papers and files were not correct and it was fixed along with her name on file, and she would receive the official transcript in a few days.

Next day I was being treated like I killed somebody, the office asked why I changed record numbers files etc. could of violated record keeping laws... Anyway they never had a policy or created one for transgendered students, glad that school (or at least some) are accepting.
