All of this true. And while in today's world we want people to be free to make their own decisions, those decisions often affect a lot of other people because the careful inevitably subsidize the careless.

If someone is aware of a risk and wants to do something dangerous, and it only affects them (probably doesn't apply here), who am I to say they shouldn't. Part of the brazen stupidity here is the advertisement of his activities and the insult to others who are more careful.

That pill isn't 100% its like the PEP we have here in the UK which is only upto 80% effective and even then you have to take the pill for a whole month with side effects ranging from fevers, tiredness, diarrhoea, vomiting, restlessness.

The pill is there to help someone if they have a moment of foolishness its not a green light for selfish pleasure and infecting yourself because hey ho pop a pill and you'll be fine. You don't do heroin because there's mehtodrome. Also just because it can help battle becoming infected with HIV, unprotected sex still comes with the risks of Anal warts, Herpes, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, Chlamydia and Hepatitis B.
