    Default Off topic: Superman Returns

If any of you guys had doubts about seeing this movie, get over it. It was definitely worth the money. Just got back from the early viewing. The movie gelled well and gave several tributes to the previous films. Go see it.

Aw, do we have to? Superman's a fag!

I still get a kick out of the fact that they had to digitize his 'package' because the actor's dick was too big to show the costume uncensored on screen.

Is Kirk Allen still alive? Noel Neal?

Batman Begins was scary good. Few people realize the dark origins of the character.

I haven't had a day-of-me in a while, is Superman still in the googleplexes?

Kirk Alyn died on 14 March 1999; Noel Neill is still alive.

Sad to hear about Kirk. I had good fortune to meet him in FL some years ago. He was very bright and friendly and loved the attention that the new films brought to him (His acting career was poisoned by the Superman typecast, but he appeared in the first Superman film as little Lois Lane's dad on the train through Smallville - Director's cut).

Noel (Lois Lane in the original serials and the first TV series) was doing speaking tours in the 80's/90's (And, along with Kirk, appeared in the train scene as Lois' mother).

I haven't seen the Director's Cut of the first Superman film (which, technically, was the second, since Superman and the Mole Men was the first, though granted little more than a theatrical release of a TV pilot, lol).

what made this movie good was that they chose a director that LOVED the comic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

unlike Xmen 3 where it's obvious Brett Ratner was not a true Xmen fan

Can you imagine how good X3 would have been had Singer stuck around to direct it? It would have been off the map.
