Default India recognizes transgender citizens as "third gender"

Ironically INDIA is the 1st country to officially recognize transgendered people as a third gender. just saw it on the news. hopefully other countries will follow it just as they followed the kamasutra!!!

OK. I am way out of the loop. I guess legally changing your gender from M to F or vice versa isn't an option in India?

HAHAHA no! and it just isn't to change the gender of a license or passport from M to F. its more of actually accepting a society for what it really is and for more than 50 million or more to be identified as equal to everyone else makes a big dent at least in the Indian govt/society/culture. as a joke and to simplify it its like having a mens females and tgirls bathroom and lockerooms without the actual bathrooms lol
