Senachi, you forgot to mention that Thialand is an HIV/AIDS hotspot to the extent of various African countries.

I've been to Sao Paulo and had zero problems with any of the shemales I met there and brought up to my 5-star hotel. The only con is that Sao Paulo is not a tourist city with "other" attractions so visiting for the shemales is pretty much all you'll get.

Well as it's a given that AIDS is rife among both sex workers in Brazil and Thailand I thought that was a given and couldn't imagine anybody going there and not covering up.
Personally, I've known of more Brazilian TS's who've died of AIDS than ones in Thailand who seem better educated on it and less likely to take the risks.

Not a fair comparison, as Thailand has made major strides in combating HIV/AIDS compared with many other nations. Here's some info:

There are very few developing countries in the world where public policy has been effective in preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS on a national scale, but Thailand is an exception. A massive programme to control HIV has reduced visits to commercial sex workers by half, raised condom usage, decreased STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) dramatically, and achieved substantial reductions in new HIV infections.1

Thailand, though, is also a reminder that success can be relative. Its well funded, politically supported and comprehensive prevention programmes have saved millions of lives, reducing the number of new HIV infections from 140,000 in 1991 to 21,000 in 2003. Nonetheless, more than one-in-100 Thai adults in this country of 65 million people is infected with HIV, and AIDS has become a leading cause of death.2, 3

From the early 1990s, the government worked in collaboration with brothel owners to ensure that the commercial sex industry did not become the main engine for a nationwide epidemic of HIV/AIDS.

As a result, Thai men are today far less likely to visit sex workers. And those who do are more likely to use condoms. Meanwhile, condom use has also increased both among young people and in the general population.

True, and the scene in Thailand is not rosey, but it is impressive how much ground they've gained in the past few years, compared to other hot spots like Africa and Brazil. But I am glad that the Thai girls I know and love live here in the US and practice safe sex.

I'm just getting back from Brazil about a month or so ago. I don't know much about Thai, and I am taking in all the feedback from the seasoned veterans and more experienced like Senchai and others, but I can give you some recent feedback for Brazil. Senchai can verify as I must have e-mailed him a few times while I was there for some info,,LOL,,
First, Brazil in my opinion have the most beautiful and exotic women in the world, both GG's and TS. Rio has many beautiful TS, and they are all over the place, but it's not what you think. There are no TS clubs or spas that feature TS girls. They are looked at as kind of an outcast in society. So, if your main objective is to go have sex and meet lots TS in Rio, and spend time with them, your best bet is not to get a hotel, but to rent an apartment, somewhere preferably along the Copacabana beach. It's just as cheap or cheaper than a hotel, and you get more bang for your buck, literally. The hotels are very strict on asking the girls for thier "documents", and if they don't have them, they dont let them in. That goes for GG's especially, and most hotels wont even think about letting a TS go upsatirs with you.
There is a strip along the Copa where they hang out. They are really the lowest of the streetgirls, some of them look good, but they are all about getting high, rushing, and you can see where they are out there 24/7 and not really taking care of themselves. Some of them are mean and viscous too. They are always arguing and fighting, sometimes with each other, or with guys who are watching thier back. It's kind of crazy, but amusing too. If you hang out around there long enough, you'll see quite a few that come through or get dropped off that will make your heart pound, but they are few and far between in that area. Your best bet is to find a cab driver that speaks a little english, and if your portugese is in tact, that's even better. Make sure you take care of him well, and have him bring you over in the Flamingo area. They are street girls as well, but they are fine as hell, and look like anyone of them can be in the videos or on Brazillian T-girls, Black T-girls, etc. I could've sworn I seen a couple of girls from the sites. They walk around, or sit on a few cars with thier lingerie, short shorts, panties and bras, whatever. Oh my goodness, it's unbelievable. You can actually see buldges and the whole works. I remember one girl sitting on the car with a long coat or robe on and her legs wide open, I can still see that big buldge and her balls hanging out the side. She was beautiful as hell too, with light blonde hairs going up her belly. Stunning. That is the spot. I had the cabbie pull over and we both stood out and smoked cigarettes for a while, and I got to watch a show of these girls walkng around and going up to cars. I ended up taking a stunner back to the apartment that night, and had the same cabbie bring her back once we were finished. You've go to take care of those cabbies.
I personally went for more GG's then anything, and picked and choosed my spots with the TS. So all of my experience were good, except for one TS that I got late one night off the Copa strip. She wouldn't leave the room until I gave her a 100 more dollars, and she wasn't that good.
The prices are around 200 reais for the girls at the Flamingo, and you can get one off the Copa strip for around 50 to 100. If you are staying in a hotel, there's a "love motel" right there around the Flamingo for about 60 reais.
The american dollar isn't good over there right now, it's only 2 to 1. So, if you pay them 200 reais, you are actually paying 100 dollars. Some of the porno stars and the girls you see on the sights want up to 3000 reais, especially if you don't speak english. Not worth it with all the other beauties around. You just have to be patient, and not act or seem desperate.
also, one other bit of info. If you walk around long enough in some of the neighborhoods, or have a cab driver take you too some spots outside of the tourist areas, there's girls that you wont see around the Flamingo or on the strip, but they are willing as well, and some of them are very pretty at a really unbeleiveble price.
You really can't go wrong if you play your cards right. You don't really have to worry about Issues like YMMV etc, they are freaks and aim to please. The'll do any and everything.
One other thing, I went up to Salvadore Bahia for a few days. They don't have TS running around all over the place, but they are not hard to find, and if you like darker t-girls, that's the place to go. I didin't mess with any while I was there, too many fine ass GG's all over the place, but again, if you like that dark-skinned sexy TS look (like Gracie and Kayla on black T-girls) Salvadore isn't a bad place to go. It's extremely cheap as well.

Seanchai, you're full of shit, you know that? Why do you think Thailand is trying so hard to reduce HIV/AIDS with all their programs? It's because, other than Africa, it is 10x worse there than in other areas of the world.

I applaud them taking steps to correct their problems as every country, including Brazil, should.

The bottom line is I prefer the Brazilian looking girls and have had hot times with both Rafaella Carneiro and Miriany Ribero and had ZERO problems getting them to come to my hotel. The price was 150 reias + cab fare for Miriany, and $200 reiais + cab fare for Rafaella, still great deals by US Dollar standards.

It seems to me that these girls start harmones at an early age and are truly feminine by their late teens.
