You don't have a first amendment to be on a private forum, no matter where that forum is. The second amendment also doesn't give you any special right to shoot anyone. Perhaps this is the time to (re-)divert the thread to what really matters -the missing aeroplane.

The authorities in Malaysia are not emerging from this crisis with much credit, but part of the problem in releasing delayed information, or so we are told, is that it might come from 'sensitive' US intelligence sources who want to avoid detection by the Chinese (and presumably the Russians too).

I think that if the accident thesis works, perhaps a fire disorienting the pilots and crew, the possibility that the object in the southern oceans is the plane would follow -loss of control, plane flying south until it runs out of fuel, ditches into the ocean. But we still don't know. This terrible incident may not be resolved for years, that is the hardest part for the families involved.

The amount of attention from both the military and the media to the ocean off Australia west of Perth begins to make it rather likely that it marks the crash scene. Even that publicity-crazed reptile Tony Abbott wouldn't be making statements if it was going to turn out to be untrue.
