What I honestly love about this forum (yes, in addition to the obvious naked t-gals), is the wonderfully intelligent, sophisticated and educated individuals (musically, literature-wise and culturally) who post here and whom I will likely never have the pleasure of meeting in person. But you share my sensibilities and tastes and that's heartening in a place like this. Chick Corea who "re-discovered" and credited Paco de Lucia during his recording of My Spanish Heart, provided me the gateway to this Flamenco genuis. The void Paco de Lucia leaves is tremendous. R.I.P.

I know that the purists don't like it but I also enjoyed the combinations by artists of the rich musical history of Spanish music with modern approaches. Ketama, as one example, made some interesting music that wouldn't have been possible without Paco de Lucia.
