Today's anniversary: Nylon Stockings

75 years ago, DuPont began production of Nylon Stockings...cheaper and more durable than silk stockings...I wonder if anyone has a preference?

Definitely better than silk. I'm talking about the shiny, non-stretch flat weave stockings from the post WWII era. These were replaced by the mesh weaves that were cheaper to make and had a little stretch in them. They also had a rougher texture. Pantyhose is the work of the devil.
