Finally a boxing match that I might actually pay to watch. Although I would whether prefer if The Game fought George Zimmerman instead of DMX.

George Zimmerman, the man acquitted of murdering unarmed teen Trayvon Martin in 2013, will fight DMX in the ring, match promoter Damon Feldman has confirmed.

The perennially barking rapper was selected out of 15,000 applicants to challenge the infamous US citizen in perhaps the most questionable ‘celebrity boxing’ event in recent history.

Speaking to TMZ last week, the 43-year-old hip-hop star said he would make sure he broke every rule in boxing “to make sure I f**k him right up”. He also threatened to urinate in his opponent’s face if he won.



The boxing match will last for three rounds. An exact date, time and location for the fight is set to be announced in a news conference next Wednesday.


All the proceeds Zimmerman earns from the fight, Feldman said in an interview last week, will go to charity.

It makes for entertaining tv nonetheless. But I agree, perhaps George is hard up for money. The promoter states the proceeds are going to charity, but I imagine not all the proceeds are going to charity. George Z. wanted to fight Kanye West at one point.

Part of his defense argument was that he couldn't fight. Had the owner of his gym testify that GZ was the worst student he ever had. Lost weight and got in shape and all, but the gym owner said GZ was 'soft' and he wouldn't put him in the ring, even to spar.

Can't wait to see the wrestling promos. DMX is going into business with Zimmerman. I've seen this angle before when What's-His-Face #3 did it.
