Condoms and No Testing vs. Testing and No Condoms

For all those who enjoy porn there is a divide for condoms and testing. Of course sex in of itself has its inherent risks, still I was curious what system would performers, producers and consumers prefer. There are obvious pros and cons for both systems so there is room for a discussion.

I keep seeing performers who really want condoms and I see consumers and really don't want condoms. Personally I prefer bareback porn, for me its something I don't engage in my personal life so its nice to watch it on screen. I am curious what do all of you think?

Lol, I didn't say testing was across the board. However, with the push for condoms testing will drop significantly. The reason for testing was to lower the risk of infection, by having certain group monitored. Especially with the rise of HIV. Getting that out he way.

Would you be fine in a porn with only condoms or would like the choice to have non condom porn?

Any performer for every shoot that showcases ANY interaction between 2 or more, are REQUIRED to have a current test and that that test shows Negative in every test panel.

Otherwise the shoot stops, and it's called off, or they find a suitable, reliable, and clean replacement who does have a current clean test on hand with them to bring.

Testing will never go away in porn. At least in TS porn, as I cannot speak for other niches or mainstream.

Looking at Los Angeles willingness to pass a condom only law, what is there to stop other states from following suit. The condom law is in regards to all porn produce in the particular area. I never said porn has no current testing system. I am with you the current system has been excellent with detecting STDs and especially HIV transmissions.

LA Region was a porn mecca and for them to pass condom only legislation, well what is there to stop other places from doing the same. Will we be happy with condom porn only or will there be the option for variety. I fear it will be a large portion of condom only porn coming our way.

Sadly you are wrong. Though by Industry Standards we are required too, legally there is no law. Outside of LA based shoots many companies are NOT testing when condoms are used. Though I think everyone should require testing whether a condom is used or not there are shoots happening outside of LA, Vegas, Etc who are not requiring talent to be tested.

I have no problem if condoms is being used for models to have a 14 day test from the health department, doctor or testing facility (blood not mouth swab).

But to your response sadly that is not the case nationwide with some TS studios. For instance a producer in LA will require testing and encourage whereas the Florida producer for the same company will not.

Thank you Wendy, I never knew that information. You have been a strong advocate for testing and this information helps make the picture clearer. Do you think a universal testing system across all of porn would be sufficient?

I must have not been clear, I only meant LA because that is where I have been shot primarily. I was not speaking for "outside LA".

Though, I have had a few shoots in Kansas City and was required to have a clean current test. The same with Kink in SF.

Also note that I said "required" in my OP, and nothing about "law".

I have been asked many times to shoot with "inquirers" ( fans and/or new/small companies ) and they are clearly not reliable because, I myself, require those who wish to shoot with me a current and clean test. Otherwise, they will not perform at all. And 99.9% of the time with those requests, they either say they will do it and then never call back or simply scamper off and not say anything back to me, whether yea or nay.

I only worry about myself and talent I work with, I don't like the idea of telling anyone they should or should not wear a condom.

Ideally universal testing would be ideal especially in gay porn however that isn't the case. I think the majority of TS are responsible in the Adult Industry and take it serious and usually have to test at some point. Like Eva said in LA its just common practice whether a condom is used or not. They however fall in a trap where a few places are making money off testing because limited places are on the "ok" list of places that studios will take results from.
