If it was in the context of a job interview, not in a porn-Trans friendly forum. Yes.

And because this is a "transfriendly" forum, the expectation is that you treat transpeople as people, not curiosities. Intentionally or not, you violated that expectation and hence the less than favorable response.

At one time, I always openly answered questions such as yours, reasoning that by explaining and informing, I was reducing ignorance. Experience has taught me however, that such openness is counterproductive, as it implies that it is permissable to treat me with less respect and dignity than would be accorded a non-trans person. Furthermore, most people who ask such questions have no desire to be informed on trans issues: they just want to entertain themselves by hearing salacious details. Hence Bella's comment about not feeding the trolls.

I've had a spat earlier today on another thread with an asshole who made a dismissively objectionable comment about another girl.

It may have been casual and careless, but it betrayed an attitude that's all too prevalent here. Unless you're transgendered yourself, or know transgendered people on a non-sexual or non-porn basis, you may well see the girls as objects of fantasy at best, perhaps curiosity, or, at worst, freaks to be derided.

I accept that wasn't your expressed intention, but it's more than implied in your original post and you've amplified it considerably since.

A graceful withdrawal is probably in order. It's well-intentioned advice. Take it.

as a guy who has been dating a transsexual for over a year I can say you cannot possibly get that far into someone else's head usually without knowing so much of their private history and inner feelings that made them want to look female so they could match the female feelings in their hearts/inner being's that had already been there.
You seem hung-up on the surgery, I can relate as a guy and my partner still has her's and wait's for the day to get it removed in order to feel complete. I have had very good discussion's with her about the obvious consequences and risk's but it is for each to decide for themselves with out judgment by others is it not??
And yes there are more than not men out there that dream about t-girl's in their fantasies , yet wouldn't know what to do or say if in the company of a nice t-girl.

I don't know sounds like it's someones fault, perhaps there's better terminology, would "sexual corrective surgery" be better? I don't know.
